September is National Recovery Month
Dear Friend of the Community,
With the recent Attorney General’s statewide alert about flavored meth targeted at our elementary kids followed by the largest methamphetamine bust in Polk County history, our community is surely in need of your help. We raise awareness about the devastating consequences of using methamphetamine and provide support for those in recovery. The Meth Free Project is an outreach of Leland Family Ministries, a licensed Florida substance abuse service provider. We are also the leading self-funded organization on the State’s Methamphetamine Task Force and we recently received an Outstanding Service Award by the Florida Office of Drug Control.
September is National Recovery Month nationwide. We at Leland Family Ministries and the Meth Free Project will be holding our annual National Recovery Month Celebration on Sunday, September 19th. Hosting this celebration will be Recreation Station located in the Eagle Ridge Mall in Lake Wales. We will have a silent auction taking place during this event.
